Upgrading, downgrading, canceling your subscription, billing history, and account deletion.

Managing Your Subscription

This guide covers everything about managing your Verbatik AI subscription — upgrading, downgrading, canceling, and billing.

Viewing Your Current Plan

  1. Go to Billing & Plans from the sidebar.
  2. Your current plan, credit balance, and billing status are displayed at the top.

Upgrading Your Plan

  1. Go to Billing & Plans.
  2. Browse the available plans.
  3. Click Upgrade on the plan you want.
  4. Complete the checkout process.
  5. Your new plan is activated immediately.

When upgrading mid-cycle:

  • You're charged a prorated amount for the remaining time in your current billing period.
  • You immediately gain access to the new plan's features and credit allocation.
  • Your billing date stays the same.

Downgrading Your Plan

  1. Go to Billing & Plans.
  2. Select a lower-tier plan.
  3. The downgrade takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
  4. You keep access to your current plan's features until then.

Switching Between Monthly and Annual Billing

  • Switching to annual saves approximately 20%.
  • Annual plans receive all 12 months of credits upfront.
  • The change is processed with proration.

Canceling Your Subscription

Standard Cancellation (End of Period)

  1. Go to Billing & Plans or your account settings.
  2. Click Cancel Subscription.
  3. Select a cancellation reason from the list:
    • Too expensive
    • Not using it enough
    • Missing features I need
    • Found a better alternative
    • Technical issues
    • Poor voice quality
    • Difficult to use
    • Billing issues
    • Temporary pause
    • Other
  4. Provide feedback (minimum 10 characters).
  5. Confirm the cancellation.

What happens:

  • Your subscription remains active until the end of your current billing period.
  • You keep access to all plan features until then.
  • After the period ends, your account reverts to the free tier.
  • Subscription credits are removed; you receive 1,000 free credits.
  • Any prepaid (Pay-As-You-Go) credits remain in your account permanently.
  • You'll receive a confirmation email.

Immediate Cancellation

If your subscription is in a past-due state (payment failed), you have the option to cancel immediately:

  • The subscription is canceled right away (not at period end).
  • Your account immediately reverts to the free tier with 1,000 credits.
  • No further charges are attempted.

Reactivating After Cancellation

If you canceled but your subscription hasn't expired yet:

  • Your cancellation is set to take effect at the end of the billing period.
  • You can resubscribe at any time by choosing a new plan.

If your subscription has already expired:

  • Simply choose a new plan from the Billing & Plans page.
  • Complete the checkout process to start a new subscription.

Past-Due Subscriptions

If a payment fails:

  • Your subscription enters a past-due state.
  • You'll be prompted to update your payment method.
  • You can choose to update payment and continue, or cancel immediately.
  • If payment isn't resolved, the subscription may be canceled automatically.

Billing History and Invoices

  • View your complete billing history from the billing portal.
  • Download invoices for each payment.
  • All charges are itemized with dates and amounts.
  • You receive email receipts for every payment.

Deleting Your Account

If you want to permanently delete your account:

  1. Go to your account settings.
  2. Click Delete Account.
  3. Confirm the deletion.

What happens:

  • Your subscription is canceled immediately.
  • All your data is permanently deleted, including:
    • Generated audio clips
    • Custom voices
    • Chat conversations
    • Credit history
    • Account information
  • This action cannot be undone.
