Understanding the Credits System
Credits are the universal currency across all Verbatik AI tools. Every generation, message, or creation uses credits based on the type and complexity of the task.
How Credits Work
- Every paid plan includes a monthly credit allocation that refills at the start of each billing cycle.
- Free users receive a one-time 1,000-credit bonus upon email verification.
- Credits are deducted automatically when you use any feature.
- Your current credit balance is always visible in the sidebar.

Some models are available to all users (including free tier), while most require an active subscription.
Credit Types
Verbatik uses two types of credits:
Subscription Credits
- Included with your paid plan.
- Refill (reset) at the start of each billing cycle.
- Do not roll over — unused subscription credits are lost when your cycle renews.
Prepaid Credits (Pay-As-You-Go)
- Purchased separately as add-ons.
- Never expire — they stay in your account permanently.
- Preserved even if you cancel your subscription.
- Available only to users with an active subscription.
When you use credits, subscription credits are consumed first. Prepaid credits are only used after subscription credits are depleted.
Credit Refill
- Credits refill automatically at the start of each billing period.
- Monthly plans refill once per month.
- Annual plans receive all 12 months of credits upfront at the time of purchase.
- Prepaid credits are never affected by refills — they persist independently.
Example: A Creator plan user ($9/month) receives 300,000 subscription credits each month. If they also purchased 50,000 prepaid credits, their total balance after refill would be 300,000 + 50,000 = 350,000 credits.
What Happens When You Run Out
If your credits reach zero:
- Wait for refill — Your subscription credits reset at the next billing cycle.
- Upgrade your plan — Higher plans come with more credits. Pro and Enterprise include unlimited TTS & Voice Cloning.
- Purchase more — Buy Pay-As-You-Go credits (requires active subscription).
Pro & Enterprise: Unlimited TTS and Voice Cloning
On the Pro and Enterprise plans, standard Text-to-Speech and standard Voice Cloning do not cost any credits:
- You can generate as much TTS content as you need.
- You can use your cloned voices for speech generation without credit limits.
- HD Voice Cloning, Voice Clone Training, Voice Design, and all other AI tools still consume credits normally.
Credits After Cancellation
When you cancel your subscription:
- Your subscription credits are removed.
- Your account reverts to the free tier with 1,000 credits.
- Any prepaid (Pay-As-You-Go) credits you purchased remain in your account permanently.
