Voice Cloning

Voice Cloning lets you create a digital replica of any voice from an audio sample. Once cloned, you can use that voice to generate speech from any text.

Types of Voice Clones

Verbatik offers three types of custom voices:

Standard Voice Clone

• Upload an audio sample of the voice you want to clone.
• The system creates a voice model from the sample.
• Use it for text-to-speech generation at 2 credits per character.
• Quick to create — results are available almost instantly.

HD Voice Clone

• Higher quality voice cloning with more natural results.
• Requires training with an audio sample.
• Training costs 60,000 credits.
• Uses the voice for generation at 10 credits per character.
• Supports 16 languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Turkish, Russian, Dutch, Czech, Arabic, Chinese, Hungarian, Korean, and Hindi.
• Includes a preview URL after training so you can hear the result.

Designed Voice

• Create a completely new voice from a text description.
• Describe the voice characteristics you want (e.g., "a warm, friendly female voice with a slight British accent").
• Costs 60,000 credits per design.
• No audio sample needed — the AI generates the voice from your prompt.

How to Clone a Voice

Standard Clone

1. Go to My Voices from the sidebar.
2. Click Create Voice Clone.
3. Upload an audio file (MP3, WAV, or other supported formats).
4. Give your voice a name and optional description.
5. Click Create — your voice is ready to use immediately.

HD Clone

1. Go to My Voices from the sidebar.
2. Click Train HD Voice.
3. Upload a high-quality audio sample.
4. Give your voice a name.
5. Click Train — training takes a few moments.
6. Once complete, the voice appears in your library with an HD badge.

Voice Design

1. Go to My Voices from the sidebar.
2. Click Design Voice.
3. Write a description of the voice you want.
4. Optionally provide preview text.
5. Click Design — the AI generates a new voice matching your description.

Voice Clone Slots

Each plan has a maximum number of voice clone slots:

You can delete existing clones to free up slots for new ones.

Managing Your Voices

From the My Voices page, you can:

• Preview — Listen to a sample of each voice.
• Edit — Rename or update the description.
• Delete — Remove a voice to free up a slot.
• Share — Generate a shareable link to the voice audio file.

Sharing Cloned Voices

1. Click the Share button on any custom voice.
2. A unique download link is generated.
3. The link provides direct access to the voice audio file.
4. You can deactivate the share link at any time.

Sharing a voice provides the audio file only. It does not give others the ability to use your voice clone for TTS generation.

Using Cloned Voices for TTS

1. Go to Text to Speech.
2. In the voice selector, switch to the My Voices tab.
3. Select your cloned voice.
4. Type your text and generate.

For HD voices, you'll also see language and speed controls in the settings panel.

Tips for Best Results

• Use clean audio — Minimize background noise in your sample.
• Longer samples work better — 30 seconds to 2 minutes of clear speech gives the best results.
• Consistent tone — Use a sample where the speaker maintains a consistent tone and pace.
• HD for quality — If you need the highest quality, use HD Voice Cloning.
